Considered as America’s biggest event in New Year’s Day, the Rose Parade 2015 absolutely entices millions of people to anticipate and connect with the event on January 1.
The Rose Parade is a century old celebration that opens each year with festival of flowers, sports and music that can only be witnessed in Pasadena, California, USA.
To celebrate the New Year without the Rose Parade will not be complete for most of the Americans. Aside from the one million participants in the parade, there are more than 10 million people who will be going to watch the Rose Parade.
The Rose Parade is often called also as the Tournament of Roses. In this event alone, about 80,000 hours of combined manpower is exerted each year. There are 935 members of the Tournament of Roses Association volunteering to work for the New Year’s spectacle.
The Rose Parade consists of three participants: Float, Band and Equestrian. The Rose Parade will always be remembered because of the gorgeous and expensive floats. In this generation, millions of dollars is being spent to construct floats.
Each float is built and decorated with more flowers. Moreover, computers have been used in designing floats. Using the state of the art technology in creating floats has been effective in the past years. There are 37 floats to hover around the Rose Parade route in January 1. Also, 23 marching participating bands and 18 equestrians for the Rose Parade 2015.
The 126th Rose Parade is presented by Honda. The theme of Rose Parade 2015 is “Inspiring Stories”. According to the official website of the Rose Parade,
“The very nature of this theme allows us to reflect on and appreciate many people around us who elevate the human spirit by who they are, what they have done, and what they continue to do. It pays tribute to those who have loved unconditionally, persevered courageously, endured patiently and accomplished much on behalf of others.”
After the Rose Parade, the Rose Bowl football game would be played for the complete New Year attraction. In 2015 Rose Bowl Game, the Oregon Ducks will meet the Florida State.
