The Annual NFL All Star game or popularly known as Pro Bowl is scheduled on January 25, at the University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona, the venue of the Super Bowl XLIX.
Not in a traditional Hawaii venue, the Pro Bowl 2015 is to be held in Arizona. Moreover, it’s no longer about the AFC vs NFC format but it’s the Team Irvin vs Team Carter.
The captains of the Pro Bowl this year are two Hall of Famers, Michael Irvin and Chris Carter. These two captains have been allowed to choose the players who will play.
Irvin, a former Dallas Cowboys star receiver, picked every Cowboys available for the Pro Bowl. DeMarco Murray, Jason Witten, Tony Romo and 60 percent of the Dallas offensive line. On the other hand, Carter selected Colts quarterback Andrew Luck as the starter. Carter provides Luck the talents like receivers Antonio Brown, A.J. Green, TY Hilton and Jordy Nelson.
In the Pro Bowl last season, Team Jerry Rices defeated Team Deoin Sanders, 22-21, in one of the low scoring Pro Bowl games held in Hawaii.
There will be rules change on Sunday Night. The PATs will be altered. The gap between goal posts will be narrowed from the standard 18.6 feet to 14 feet and the kick will be moved back to the 15-yard line, making it a 25-yard kick.
