The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football at 8:30 PM at the Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA.
The Steelers have been playing better in the past two games through quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The inconsistencies might be the question, but the Steelers showed that they can win games through their defense and offense.
Coming off from a 51-34 victory over the Colts, the Steelers will be tested against the vaunted defense of the Ravens. Roethlisberger completed 40 of 49 passes for 522 yards, which is third most in a regular game in NFL history. He also connected six touchdowns over the Colts.
”We know what we’re capable of,” said running back Le’Veon Bell, the AFC leader with 1,086 scrimmage yards. ”We showed everybody. Now we have to go out there and put performance on top of performance.”
The Steelers want to avenge their September 11, 26-6 loss on a Thursday Night Football. In that game, the Steelers had three turnovers and nine penalties, while Roethlisberger had not touchdown for the first time in 30 games.
Offensively, Pittsburgh averages 291.1 yards in passing and 127.1 in rushing. Defensively, Pittsburgh yields 250.1 in passing and 107.8 in rushing.
The Baltimore Ravens want to bounce back after losing to the Bengals, 27-24, in a squeaker on October 26.
Flacco completed 17 of 34 passes for 195 yards with no touchdowns but two interceptions. The Ravens were playing great but the defense allowed a late touchdown for the Bengals to take the game.
The Ravens defense will have to topple the offense of the Steelers in order to win on the road. With a tight race in the AFC North, the winner will either be in first place or right behind 4-2-1 Cincinnati, while the loser could fall behind Cleveland. The AFC North is becoming one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL with the rise of Cleveland and even Pittsburgh and Baltimore this season.
Offensively, Baltimore averages 247.1 yards in passing adn 128.4 in rushing. Defensively, Baltimore yields 256 yards in passing and 90.4 in rushing.
