Chicago takes on Green Bay on the Sunday Night Football at 8:30 PM ET on November 9, at the Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wis.
The rivalry continues for the Packers and the Bears as shootout is expected between quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler. With the battle for the AFC North remains to be a struggle, both teams need this win.
Coming off a bye week after a 44-23 loss to the Saints on October 26, the Packers have to start all over again in winning streak games. Prior to the defeat, the Packers were riding in a four-game winning streak.
Rodgers threw for 418 yards but with two interceptions that caused them the game. While Rodgers plays well in passing, he was bothered by the pressure of the defense.
Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang are needed to protect the quarterback at all times. They are expected to be available in tonight’s Thursday Night Football.
“The best offensive lines in my opinion are the ones that play week in and week out. The timing, the communication, particularly the non-verbal communication, happens so fast at the line of scrimmage, so it’s definitely a big part of the flow of your offense,” said coach Mike McCarthy.
Rodgers had four touchdown passes in a 38-17 road win over Chicago on September 28. The Packers scored 24 unanswered points to the surprise of the Bears. Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson each amassed 100-yard receiving with two touchdowns each.
Offensively, Green Bay averages 248.6 yards in passing and 97.5 in rushing. Defensively, Green Bay yields 225.8 in passing and 153.8 in rushing.
The Bears (3-5) suffered a disappointing 51-23 loss to New England before the bye week. Cutler threw for three touchdowns against the Patriots but committed two turnovers. He got two touchdowns after the Bears were behind 45-7.
Hoping to bounce back, Cutler has to limit or avoid his turnovers for the offense of the Bears to navigate through the defense of the opposing team.
Offensively, Chicago averages 251.1 yards in passing and 102.5 in rushing. Defensively, Chicago yields 262.2 in passing and 110.1 in rushing.
