The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football, November 17, at the LP Field
Nashville, TN.
Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers try to bounce back after a disappointing 20-13 loss to the New York Jets last week. While Roethlisberger was having success in dismantling their opponents, the Steelers must learn not to take anything for granted, even at the bottom of the NFL.
Tonight on Monday Night Football, the Steelers (6-4) have to battle the low-key Titans (2-7). With the high-octane offense of the Steelers, they have all the advantage to win this football game.
Roethlisberger completed 30 of 43 passes for 343 yards and a touchdown against two interceptions last week. The passing offense was totally at full disposal but the Steelers got only 36 yards on the ground.
Martavis Bryant had 143 yards and a touchdown in four receptions while Antonio Brown added 74 yards in eight catches. Markus Wheaton would also be part of the receiving corpse of the Steelers.
“The ability is there, it’s just about going out and doing it,” defensive end Cam Heyward told the team’s official website. “We have to have our focus and mindset on the Titans this week. We can’t forget what happened, but we have to move past it. We have to move in the right direction and clean up the stuff that put us in trouble this past week.”
Offensively, Pittsburgh averages 297.6 yards (4th in NFL) in passing and 110.8 in rushing. Defensively, Pittsburgh yields 239.5 in passing and 107.5 in rushing.
The Tennessee Titans played great tough in a 21-7 loss to the Ravens last Sunday. They started the game well but eventually dominated by the Ravens.
Tennessee had 142 yards and a 7-0 lead after 15 minutes but were held to 68 yards on 30 plays the rest of the way.
“Early in the first half we did a lot of good things to kind of counteract their guys,” rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger said. “We just got to continue to … play like that for 60 minutes.”
Mettenberger completed 16 of 27 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown against one interception. He has to play better to win this fight against the Steelers.
Offensively, Tennessee averages 211.3 in passing and 97.3 in rushing. Defensively, Tennessee yields 232.1 in passing and 136.6 in rushing.
