The Denver Broncos take on the winless Oakland Raiders in one of the NFL games on Sunday at the O.co Coliseum, Oakland, CA.

After suffering an embarassing l43-21 loss against the New England Patriots last Sunday, the Denver Broncos are ready to bounce back as they look for their sixth straight win over the Oakland Raiders.

Quarterback Peyton Manning completed 34 of 57 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns against two interceptions. With the Broncos averaging 37.3 points in the winning streak, they were contained by the Patriots defense.

Emmanual Sanders caught 10 times for 151 yards and Darren Thomas added 127 yards in seven catches. Former Patriots’ Wes Welker had only 31 yards in three catches.

”The quarterback stinks, usually you’re not going to win many games,” said Manning, who fell to 32-8 in regular-season starts with Denver. ”I don’t make any excuses.”

While the Broncos maintain the lead in the AFC West, it is now only with a game.

”Shoot, there’s half the season left,” coach John Fox said. ”I mean, we’re only halfway. There’s been a bunch of anointed teams already. That doesn’t mean anything. Truth be told, you’re two weeks away from disaster, and that’s the NFL.”

Offensively, Denver averages 313.5 yards in passing, 2nd in the league and 94.1 in rushing. Defensively, Denver yields 254 yards in passing and 71.6 in rushing, first in the NFL.

The Oakland Raiders defeat to the Seahawks, 30-24, last Sunday put them into a 12th straight season without a winning record.

Derek Carr completed 24 of 41 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns against two interceptions. While the passing offense struggled, the rushing was more tamed as it produced only 37 yards.

Darren McFadden rushed 13 times for only 20 yards. The Raiders are the worst in the league in rushing offense with only 65.5 yards per game. McFadden should be able to navigate through the defense of the Broncos.

Offensively, Oakland averages 222.5 yards in passing and 65.5 in rushing. Defensively, Oakland yields 227.6 in passing and 132.5 in rushing.
