Carson Palmer delivered one of his best performances when he completed 22 of 34 passes for 249 yards, three touchdowns, and one early interception that was returned for touchdown to help Arizona for a 28-17 victory over the Romo-less Dallas Cowboys.
Except for the early turnover, Palmer has played with such efficiency in finding his receivers like Larry Fitzgerald who had 70 yards in five receptions and Tedd Ginn with 42 yards. Andre Ellington, who caught four times for 39 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 92 yards in 21 tries also.
Moreover, the defense of the Cardinals stopped the streak of the DeMarco Murray by allowing him to rush for only 79 yards in 19 attempts.
Brandon Weeden completed 18 of 33 passes for 183 yards with a touchdown but with two interceptions as the offense of the Cowboys couldn’t dislodge the vaunted defense of the Cardinals.
With the win, Arizona has firmly controlled the NFC with a 7-1 record, while the Cowboys dropped their last two games to have a 6-3 record.
