Kansas State vs Oklahoma State football: TV Schedule, Start time, Preview, Scores and Results

Kansas State takes on No. 11 Oklahoma football in a Big 12 conference showdown on Saturday at the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Norman, OK.

The Kansas State Wildcats would love to play and to beat the Sooners in this rivalry game. Surely, the Wildcats will rely on the high-powered offense being led by dual threat quarterback Jake Waters who already amassed 1,206 yards in the air and 320 yards on the ground in five games. It would be interesting to find out how the Sooners will contain him as they have difficulties in stopping Texas mobile quarterback Tyrone Swoopes last week.

Waters completed 24 of 31 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns, while adding 105 yards and a touchdown, to beat Texas Tech, 45-13, on October 4. Waters has been the center of the offense of Kansas State and he could dominate if Sooners are not prepared.

Offensively, Kansas State averages 255 yards in passing and 189 in rushing. Defensively, Kansas State yields 234.4 in passing and 81.4 in rushing.

The Oklahoma Sooners defense played the big role in beating the Longhorns, 31-26, last week despite allowing Swoopes to do the damage.

Trevor Knight completed 12 of 20 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown against no interceptions. Though the defense and special teams played to help Knight in getting the win, he has to make the difference in against Kansas State. Alex Ross had a 91-yard kickoff return and Zack Sanchez scored on a 43-yard interception return for the Sooners to survive the offense of the Longhorns.

Bill Snyder, who transformed Kansas State from mediocrity into top 25, is 7-12 in his career against the Sooners, and has lost eight of 10 meetings with Bob Stoops. One of the memorable victories inn his most recent trip to Norman. The Wildcats stunned the No. 6 Sooners 24-19 there in September 2012.

Offensively, Oklahoma averages 254.5 yards in passing and 191 in rushing. Defensively, Oklahoma yields 275.7 in passing and 116 in rushing.
