College Football Playoff Committee releases CFP Top 25 rankings/standings
The College Football Playoff committee is about to announce the top 25 rankings of the college football for the first in FBS history.
With the removal of the BCS system, the College Football Playoff rankings is the new system implemented to find the best team in the nation. In the CFP system, the committee which comprises of 12 people will select the top four teams at the end of regular season. These four teams will then play for playoff, and the two winners will be in the National Championship Game.
The CFP system was installed to avoid controversies that could arise in the BCS system. However, many critics believe that there would be problems and controversies arising in the new system.
Expected to be No. 1 in the College Football Playoff Rankings is Mississippi State, which is undefeated and had defeated three top 10 ranked teams. While many argue that the Florida State Seminoles aren’t tested yet, except they beat then-No5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Projected at No. 3 would be the Auburn Tigers, which lost to Mississippi State. At No. 4 would be the Alabama Crimson Tide.
There are plenty of speculations on No. 5 as Ole Miss, Oregon, Georgia, Notre Dame and other one loss teams are fight for the spot.
