LeBron James is back with the Cleveland Cavaliers after five years with the Miami Heat. He is back to finish his dream of giving Ohio fans an NBA ring.
James and the Cavaliers are riding in high expectations from the basketball fans this season, that even Las Vegas Oddsmakers selected them as the favourites to win the NBA title this season.
With the return of James to Cleveland, the landscape of the Eastern Conference is totally altered. Aside from James, power forward Kevin Love joined the Cavs to enhance the roster.
Moreover, Mike Miller, James Jones and Shawn Marion are part of the current roster of the Cavaliers who are expected to dominate the Eastern Conference.
It may take some time for the Knicks to blossom under the management of Phil Jackson and coaching of Derick Fisher. The Knicks lost to Chicago, 104-80, last Wednesday.
With the new triangle offense system, Carmelo Anthony went on for 5 of 13 shooting with 14 points. Though it is only the start of a long journey for the Knicks, many NBA experts believe that they will be successful.
Point guard Jose Calderon didn’t play because of a strained right calf.
”We’re going somewhere, but at the beginning of where we’re going it’s going to be difficult to get wins,” Fisher said in one of his interviews. ”We have to fight really, really hard to win games.”
This is a totally new game for both the Cavaliers and the Knicks.
