After a long absence in the spotlight, the TCU Horned Frogs are back in the top 10 of the AP Poll. TCU (4-0) meets Baylor (4-0) in a battle for supremacy in Big 12.

TCU football vs Baylor will take place on Saturday at 3:30 PM at the McLane Stadium, Waco, TX. The Horned Frogs just recently shocked the Oklahoma Sooners, 37-33, that paved the way for them to climb into rankings.

”We understand the significance of this ball game. We’re both undefeated,” TCU coach Gary Patterson said through AP. ”Whoever wins the ball game would have the driver’s seat along with the other unbeatens going forward.”

Trevone Boykin completed 20 of 38 passes for 318 yards and two touchdowns, and added 77 yards on the ground. Significantly, TCU football part of success can be attributed to the dual threat quarterback who knows how to elude his defenders.

With Kolby Listenbee, who caught five passes for 103 yards and Josh Docson, who had six catches for 76 yards, the passing offense of the Horned Frogs would be difficult to stop. The two wide receivers plays are needed for Boykin to beat the pressure coming from the Bears’ defense.

Offensively, TCU averages 320 yards in passing and 196.3 yards in rushing. Defensively, TCU yields 172.5 in passing and 106.8 in rushing. Without a doubt, TCU’s defense will be tested against the high-powered offense of the opponents.

The Baylor Bears have something to prove in this game over the Horned Frogs. With all the interesting setbacks from powerhouses Texas and Oklahoma, Baylor is on top of the Big 12 standings.

Showing forth that defense win games, Baylor defeated Texas, 28-7, last Saturday. Baylor just allowed the Longhorns to get 144 yards in the air. Thus, it’s interesting to find out how Baylor would dismantle the offense of TCU.

Quarterback Bryce Petty was efficient in throwing 7 of 22 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns when they beat Texas. He controlled the tempo of the game and he didn’t force the issue.

In the rushing offense, Baylor played it strongly through Shock Linwood who had 148 yards in 28 attempts and a touchdown. Moreover, Johnny Jefferson added 72 yards in 11 runs to solidify the ground game.

Offensively, Baylor averages 343.2 yards in passing and 247.4 in rushing. Defensively, Baylor yields 165.2 in passing and 102 in rushing.
