No. 11 UCLA Bruins face the No. 15 Arizona State Sun Devils in one of the college football games on Thursday Night, at the Sun Devil Stadium ,Tempe, AZ.
Coming off from a bye week, both teams are undefeated and have a chance to fight for higher rankings in the PAC 12. This is a great match in which the weaknesses of each team will be exploited.
After injuring his non-throwing elbow in UCLA’s win over Texas in September 13, the status of quarterback Brett Hundley is still unknown. Hundley has been playing great for the UCLA offense as he completed 70.4 percent of his passes in the past three games.
Coach Jim Mora knows that even without his starting quarterback, he can rely on backup Jerry Neuheisel who replaced Hundley in the game against Texas. Neuheisel rallied his troops for that improbable come-from-behind victory over Texas. He completed 23 of 30 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Neuheisel threw the game-winning TD pass to Jordan Payton with three minutes left.
Paul Perkins, Jordan Payton and Devin Fuller comprise the receiving corpses of the UCLA Bruins. These receivers have to make the difference whoever would be throwing to them.
Arizona State captured another victory over Colorado in Week 3 of the college football. Quarterback Taylor Kelly completed 13 of 21 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns to lead his team. He also had 70 yards in rushing and a touchdown.
The Sun Devils played magnificently through the running game of DJ Foster who rushed for 147 yards in 20 attempts. Foster has to derail the defense of UCLA in order to have his team an opportunity to win.
Arizona State ranked 12th in the rushing offense, averaging 304.3 yards per game. With the rushing attacks, ASU would be successful against the Bruins.
