Gilas Pilipinas 2014 FIBA World Cup Schedule

Gilas Pilipinas basketball team, led by head coach Chot Reyes, will travel to Spain for the FIBA World Cup 2014 that will start on August 30.

The team is composed of selected professional players plus two naturalized players namely Marcus Douthit and Andray Blatche. For the official roster that will compete in the said event, Reyes will select the other players before they fly to Spain.

Gilas Pilipinas is in Group B with Argentina, Croatia, Greece, Puerto Rico and Senegal. It would be a tough mountain to climb for the Philippine basketball team to advance to the next round.

Some of the players for the Gilas who are expected to be in the roster are: Jason Castro, Larry Fonacier, Jimmy Alapag, Marc Pingris, Gabe Norwood, Jeff Chan, Japeth Aguilar, LA Tenorio and Ranidel de Ocampo.

However, Reyes might tweak the roster just the way he did in the FIBA Asia Cup.
