Golden State Warriors vs Chicago Bulls: tv channel schedule, start time, preview, No Kevin Durant

The Golden State Warriors will take on the Chicago Bulls in one of the NBA games on Thursday, start time at 8:00 PM ET, at United Center, Chicago, Illinois.

The Golden State Warriors (50-10) will start their journey to the playoffs without superstar Kevin Durant, who will missed the next four weeks after he suffered an MCL sprain and bone bruise in his left leg on Tuesday night in a 112-108 loss to the Washington Wizards. In the first place, the acquisition of Durant last summer placed the Warriors to win the NBA finals and anything short of that would be considered a failure. Now that Durant will not play at least for a month, the Warriors will have to play out and they are hoping that everything goes well. Immediately, the Warriors are reportedly signing Matt Barnes to be a temporary replacement for Durant. With 22 games left, the Warriors are protecting a 3 1/2 game against the San Antonio Spurs for the top seed in the Western Conference.

On the season, the Warriors are averaging 118.1 points, 44.8 rebounds and 31.0 assists per game. Defensively, the Warriors are yielding 105.5 points per game against the opposing teams. Durant leads in three major statistical categories: points (25.3), rebounds (8.2) and blocks (1.6) per game. Draymond Green leads in assists with 7.3 and in steals with 2.1 per game.

Four players are averaging at least 10.2 points per game for the Warriors, they are: Durant (25.3), Stephen Curry (24.8), Klay Thompson (21.9) and Green (10.2). Those big numbers of Durant will be missed but everybody knows that the Warriors broke the regular season record of wins last year without Durant. Curry, Thompson and Green are expected to increase their capacity to score starting tonight.

The Chicago Bulls (30-30) are currently No. 7 in the Eastern Conference with 3.5 games ahead of No. 9 Miami. The Bulls are coming from a 125-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets in which Dwayne Wade scored 19 points in 8-for-14 shooting.

On the season, the Bulls are averaging 102.9 points, 46.3 rebounds and 21.6 assists per game. Defensively, the Bulls are yielding 103.4 points against the opposing teams. Jimmy Butler averages 24.0 points and 1.9 steals per game. Taj Gibson leads in rebounds with 6.9 while Rajon Rondo leads in assists with 6.5 per game. Robin Lopez tops in blocks with 1.5 per game.

Five players are averaging at least 10.0 points per game for the Bulls, they are: Butler (24.0), Wade (19.2), Gibson (11.6), Doug McDermott (10.2) and Lopez (10.0).
