Camellia Bowl 2016 Schedule: Appalachian State vs. Toledo, Odds, Prediction and Pick and Preview

 

The Raycom Media Camellia Bowl will feature the most-awaited game of the season for College Football Bowl – Appalachian State Mountaineers vs. Toledo Rockets starting at 5.30 P.M ET on 17th December 2016 Saturday at Cramton Bowl; Montgomery, Alabama.

Appalachian State Mountaineers:

The Appalachian State Mountaineers are a team of defensive mind that posted a solid 9-3 record for the season, grabbing 8 win out of final 9 games. In the recent clash against New Mexico State that when live on 26th November, Mountaineers marked 37-7 win. In that memorable game, Mountaineers the two maven running backs Jalin Moore and Marcus jointly accounted for 151 rush yards and a TD in the dominating win. In that game, Rockets allowed 198 rush yards and a TD to Jamuri Bogan, added to loss. However, Quarterback Logan Woodside’s solid offensive style came as a saviour for Jason Candle’s first season at the helm. For the season, Woodside have 3882 yards, 43 touchdowns and 9 score, while Kareem Hunt remain the top rusher on 1355 yards and 8 eight touchdown on 240 carries. The receiver for Toledo is Cody Thompson with 59 catches, 1170 yards and 10 scores. When the duo Kareem Hunt and Terry Swanson comes together, the game becomes huge; both have carried the ball over 350 times for 1,983 yards and 12 scores. Hunt also added in the passing game, catching 39 passes for 377 yards and 1 score.

Prediction:

Both senior veteran staff will have equal chance to win 2016’s Camellia Bowl. The Sun Belt will handle their work on the defensive side, while Toledo will be hitting hard on offensive side of the ball. Both teams are at similar state with significant strengths on offense and defense. If Appalachian State Defense could handle the Woodside on the offense, the Sun Belt can take home the victory.
