Ryan Lochte is proven to be good in swimming but his new challenge would be to win in the upcoming Dancing with the Stars.
After hearing several version of the Ryan Lochte’s Rio Robbery Scandal the story has finally come to an end and to gain some good PR the celebrity is said to join the 23rd season of “Dancing with the Stars” that goes live on 12th Sept 2016.
U.S Olympic Swimmer and 12-times gold medalist Ryan Lochte formally sponsored by huge brands such as Speedo, Ralph Lauren and Syneron-Candela had withdrawn him for the mess caused at Rio. In turn he is joining the next edition of ABC’s “Dancing with the starts” reported by ESPN.com.
Source confirmed ESPN that ABC’s officials were in conversation about Lochte being on the show even before the Summer Games started. The negotiation did not stop even after the gold medalist getting involved in the drunken incident at gas station for which he later apologized.
According to a press conference held by authorities in Rio de Janeiro, Lochte and his three teammates Jack Conger, Jimmy Feigen and Gunnar Bentz were held up at the gunpoint by men with badges. However, the incident was wrongly portrayed as a case of damage – authorities said the swimmers were returning home after partying asked the cab driver to stop at the gas station to use the restroom. Swimmers then urinated outside the station and Lochte also damaged a promotional poster.
Two guards confronted them and did not allow them to leave until they paid $50. Lochte said to NBC that the cab he was in was pulled over and he was robbed at the gunpoint. Police on other hand said, the men were detained by guards only because Lochte had damaged a poster. He also said, that he and his mates were “victims” and that he hand’t made any story.
Lochte and other swimmers involved in the case will have to face a hearing before a discipline commission of the International Olympic Committee. The date is yet to be fixed.
