Louisville Cardinals vs Charlotte 49ers football schedule: Live Stream, Odds and Point Spread, TV Channel schedule, Prediction and Preview

The Charlotte 49ers take on the Louisville Cardinals in one of the college football games on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM ET, at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals are coming from an 8-5 record in 2015 (5-3 in the ACC) and they got a chance to play in the Music City Bowl. Louisville possessed the offensive juggernaut that would be keys for their success for this season. The running game of the Cardinals will again flourish as mobile quarterback Lamar Jackson, who rushed for 960 yards in 163 attempts, while running back Brandon Radcliff, who rushed for 634 yards in 139 attempts, are returning. In the receiving end, James Quick, who accumulated 624 yards in 39 receptions; and Jamari Staples, who finished with 638 yards in 37 catches are also returning to stabilize their offense.

Defensively, the Cardinals yielded 212.5 yards in passing and 120.2 yards in rushing. For the Cardinals to surpass their accomplishments last season, they got to play better in defense. Keith Kelsey, who posted 106 tackles last season, is returning to lead the defense.

The Cardinals are currently ranked No. 19 in the college football preseason. With high expectations, the Cardinals will absolutely have the weapons to do damage against their opponents.

The 49ers are hoping to have a better season after finishing a 2-10 record in 2016 season, while they never won in their conference (0-8). After winning their first two games, the 49ers eventually faltered, losing 10 consecutive games.

Offensively, the 49ers produced 173.5 yards in passing and 163.6 yards in rushing. Former four-star quarterback recruit, Kevin Olsen will have a chance to redeem his football career with the 49ers. His high school career was one of the best in the nation when he posted more than 3,400 passing yards but his career in Miami was not productive because of being suspended multiple times for failing a drug test and having charged with a DUI. In rushing, 2015 season leader Kalif Phillips is coming back. Phillips posted 967 yards and five touchdowns in 190 tries last season.

Defensively, Charlotte yielded 229 yards per game in passing and 193 yards per game in rushing. Nick Cook, leading tackler with 74, is returning to the game.
