Marcus Mariota’s completion percentage is the best in the NFL preseason

Third Week of the NFL Preseason is finally here. The Tennessee Titans will face the the Oakland Raiders in one of the NFL preseason games on Saturday, August 27 kick off time at 8:00 PM ET, at Oakland Alameda Coliseum.

The Titans (1-1) are coming from a 26-16 lost to the Carolina Panthers in Week 2. Marcus Mariota completed 9 of 10 passes for 104 yards and one touchdown to Harry Douglas against one interception as he played in the second quarter, while Alex Tanney added 103 yards and a touchdown in 12-for-17 passes. Mariota has been playing great in the first two preseason games by completing 14 of 15 passes for 149 yards, with a passer rating of 102.5. Currently, Mariota is 93.3 percent in completion, the best in the NFL. In rushing, Derrick Henry had 31 yards in five attempts while David Cobb added 27 yards in six carries. In the receiving end, Tajae Sharpe caught for 68 yards in six catches while Justin Hunter added 54 yards in four receptions.

The Oakland Raiders (1-1) are coming from a 20-12 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. Connor Cook completed 6 of 9 passes for 101 yards while Derek Carr added 38 yards in 9-for-13 passes. In rushing, Latavius Murray had 19 yards in six attempts while Jamize Olawale added 14 yards in two attempts. In the receiving end, Seth Roberts caught for 50 yards in four catches while Johnny Holton added 24 yards in two catches.

Coach Jack Del Rio enters his second year as a head coach of the Raiders. Del Rio will have numbers of weapons at his disposal including Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and quarterback Derek Carr. The Raiders are looking for a better season as they embark in a new beginning with a mature roster.

This is the chance for the those players who really want a break to be part of the 53-man roster of each team. The two two teams will meet again in a regular season game on September 25 at Nissan Stadium.
