Tour De France Stage 17 Live Stream Free, Highlights and Results: Overall Standings, Chris Froome still leads?

After a day rest, Stage 17 is one of the most awaited as the cyclists enters into a grueling week in which they will fight for the supremacy.

Stage 17 of Tour de France 2016 opens the door for the most difficult week of the race as the riders will feel exhaustion in going to Alps before the winner will be proclaimed on Sunday in Paris.

The stage covers a length of 184.5 kilometers from the Swiss capital of Berne to the Alpine finish on top of the Finhaut-Emosson. Surely, this is not easy stage after coming from a rest day as they will struggle to climb with speedy acceleration into the finish.

The first ascent of the day will be the Cote de Saanenmoser, a category three, which consists of 6.6 kilometers at 4.4 percent gradient. After 25 kilometers, the cyclists will climb the Col des Mosses, a category three, with 6.4 kilometrs and average of 3.2 percent gradient.

The Col de Forclza, category one, will create havoc to the peloton because it consists of 13 kilometers which starts at 7.6 percent to 15 percent gradient. Because of the difficulty of this climb, Movistar Nairo Quintana would probably try to extricate himself against GC leader Chris Froome.

While it is not the final climb, the riders will have 18 kilometers to go to the finish. The finals ascension of the riders will be the Finhaut-Emosson, hors category, that would completely bring weariness to the legs of the riders. The climb consists of 10.4 kilometers with an average of 8.5 percent gradient.

Will Quintana and his teammate Valverde be able to cut their deficit to Froome? Who will be the strong man in today’s stage? Or it’s just the same story, that Froome will launch yet another attack in the final climb to distance himself against the chasers?
