Wimbledon Finals Results and Updates, Live Stream: Williams wins first set over Kerber

The world may have missed another opportunity to see Serena and Venus in the final, but fans would appreciate the battle between Serena and Anqelique Kerber. An early to tell if we can call it rivalry as both Williams and Kerber will play for the second time in a Grand Slam title.

Kerber outlasted Williams in Melbourne to win her first major title in three sets. Kerber is a rising star while Williams is chasing her dream to be the greatest of all time as she is about to tie Steffi Graf’s 22 Grand Slam titles.

Williams got her way into the final by dismantling Russian Elena Vesnina in 48 minutes while Kerber defeated Venus Williams to set a perfect match. Williams is still on top of the Women’s singles by playing the Australian Open and French Open finals this year, and she both lost the battles against Kerber and Garbin Muguruza at the French Open.

Kerber has the confidence and she believes that she can beat Serena. With her ability to defend her opponent, Gerber may probably be denying Williams for another title.
