PGA Golf Championship Leaderboard, Live Streaming: Standings, Jason Day to play better?

Jimmy Walker is on top of the PGA Championship leaderboard at 4-under-par through the ninth hole while the big names are yet to start.

The PGA Championship 2016 Round One is underway with the best golfers in the world vying for the title. From July 28 to 31, everybody will find out who the winner would be. Last year, Jason Day started his rise with a historic victory. Day is hoping that he would be able to duplicate his performance a year ago.

While Day is searching for another major, Jordan Spieth also is aiming to challenge the field after failing to compete like the way he played last year in all the majors so far. Spieth continues to slide in the world rankings after momentarily getting into the top a year ago. Spieth will be focus in the first round to keep the momentum throughout the final round. He has to dominated the field in order to win and to avoid another collapse.

The tightness of competition in the PGA Championship will always be part of the tradition. Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy are hoping to bring back the glory days of their victories in the major, while this years major winners: Danny Willett (Masters), Dustin Johnson (US Open) and Henrik Stenson (British Open, are looking to compete and to conquer once again.

In the realm of expectations, the top ten in the golf world rankings are expected to begin the day with such strong motivation.

Adam Scott cannot be neglected at all when it comes to surprising the field. Scott knows how to emerge on top of the leaderboard and he understands to keep the lead. Currently, Scott ranks No. 8 behind No. 7 Rickie Fowler.
