Williams is seeking her fourth French Open title and is aiming to etch herself arguably as the greatest of all time when it comes to winning grand slam. While Williams, dropping the first set, was almost upset in the quarterfinals against Yulia Putintseva, the American managed to win the last two sets.
Bertens is not a pushover tennis player. She displayed poise and capability of winning by upsetting No. 8 seed Timea Backsinszky in the quarterfinals.
In another match, Garbine Muguruza and Samantha Stosur will battle for the spot to the Women’s Finals. Muruguza has been doing exemplary great in the tournament, losing only one set so far. Stosur also came out of the draw by beating ranked opponents Simona Halep and Lucie Safarova.
