Miami Heat vs Charlotte Hornets Live: TV Channel Schedule, Start Time, Preview, Scores and Results

The Miami Heat host the Charlotte Hornets in one of the NBA games on Wednesday, October 28 start time at 7:30 PM ET, at AmericanAirlines Arena.

After losing LeBron James last year and Chris Bosh missing the latter part of the season, the Heat didn’t get into the playoffs. Surely, Dwayne Wade was not enough as the Heat tried to rebuild their roster. The Heat ended up with a record of 37-45, missing the playoffs for the second time in 12 years.

The Heat understand that having healthy players like Wade and Bosh can ultimately bring positive results. The emergence of bigman Hassan Whiteside could improve the chances of the Heat to be back in the postseason. Whiteside averaged 11.8 points and 10.0 rebounds in 48 games that he played with the Heat. Moreover, the entrance of Goran Dragic will help their cause as he averaged 16.6 points and 5.4 assists in 26 games.

The Charlotte Hornets (33-49) were part of the race for the playoffs last season but eventually faded at the last part of the schedule. Wit the additions of Jeremy Lin, Jeremy Lamb, Frank Kaminsky and Nicolas Batum, the Hornets are a different team.

Hornets coach Steve Clifford has to figure out how the new core of players will play together throughout the season.

“Potentially we could be a very good offensive team, but if we want to go where we want to go we are going to need to be a good defensive team also,” Clifford said.
