The Atlanta Hawks (0-1) suffered a 106-94 home loss to Detroit Wednesday night. Dennis Schroder led in scoring with 20 points while Paul Millsap added 19 points and eight rebounds. Jeff Teague contributed 18 points and four assist while Al Horford added 15 points.

The Hawks are expecting the presence of Tim Hardaway Jr after being inactive in the opener. Hardaway was traded from the Knicks on the draft night and he is expected to help the Hawks on their rotation.
