On the ground, Joseph Randle rushed for 65 yards in 16 attempts while Darren McFadden added 16 yards in six attempts. In the receiving end, Lance Dunbar had 70 yards in eight catches while Terrance Williams added 60 yards in five catches. Jason Witten contributed 60 yards and two touchdowns in eight catches.

In Week 1, the Cowboys accumulated 356 yards in passing and 80 yards in rushing. Defensively, the Cowboys yielded 190 yards in passing and 99 yards in rushing.

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a 26-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Monday Night Football. Bothered with turnovers and missed opportunities, the Eagles tried to bounce back after a 20-3 deficit but they failed short in the last drive. Sam Bradford completed 36 of 52 passes for 336 yards, one touchdown against two interceptions. Darren Sproles had 50 yards in rushing and 76 yards in receiving. Jordan Matthews had 72 yards in 10 receptions to help the Eagles in a losing effort.
