Seattle Seahawks Rumors: RB Christine Michael traded to the Cowboys for draft pick, Broncos-Cowboys Montee Ball trade dead?

The Dallas Cowboys finally found a running back to add to the roster for the regular season in the name of Christine Michael of the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks and the Cowboys made a deal on Sunday that would send Michael to Dallas in exchange for a conditional pick. According to the Dallas Morning News the conditional pick is a seventh rounder.

On Friday, the Seahawks were looking for a trade options with Michael but nothing came into frution until Sunday when the Cowboys were involved in the discussion.

Michael’s job was in jeopardy in Seattle after the Seahawks acquired former Bills running back Fred Jackson on Friday for a one year deal. Moreover, the Seahawks did not cut undrafted free agent Thomas Rawls on their roster, allowing them to have the depth in the position.

The Cowboys were reportedly in discussion with the Denver Broncos on Friday regarding running back Montee Ball, who was cut by the Broncos on Sunday. However, the Cowboys went the other way to get a much-needed running back.

The third-year running back Michael will be returning to his home state. Michael went to high school in Texas and played at Texas A&M before being taken by the Seahawks in the second of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Playing behind Marshawn Lynch, Michael had never experience enough playing time with the Seahawks. . Although the 24-year-old’s only rushed for 254 yards in his NFL career, he has averaged an impressive 4.9 yards per rushing attempt.
