Dallas Cowboys Rumors and News : injured WR Dez Bryant, DE Randy Gregory to miss out 4-6 weeks apiece

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys were excited in beating the NY Giants Sunday night in a nerve-wracking game. The Cowboys stunned the Giants when Romo threw for a TD with seven seconds left that eventually put them on top, 27-26, after PAT.

Despite of the win, the Dallas Cowboys look to the future without star wide receiver Dez Bryant, who suffered a broken foot during the victory.

In a postgame press conference, Dallas coach Jason Garrett confirmed that the Cowboys do not expect Bryant for the next 4-6 weeks.

“We want to be careful about making the entire judgment on it, but Dez did break a bone,” Garrett said. “We anticipate him having surgery. The initial diagnosis is he’ll be out 4-6 weeks.”

Bryant incurred the injury in the fourth quarter but it is unclear when exactly he got the injury .Bryant had 48 yards in five receptions to help the Cowboys. He was a marked man but still managed to catch the passes of Romo.

Aside from Bryant, Cowboys rookie defensive end Randy Gregory suffered an ankle injury while trying to run a stunt inside against rookie Ereck Flowers. Gregory had 21 of the 38 defensive snaps before he got injured. Gregory is expected to miss 4-6 weeks also.

Without Bryant and Gregory, the Cowboys are looking for a great start and if they will get a winning record in the next six games, they are in good trajectory going into the playoffs.
