New England Patriots Deflategate rumors: NFLPA released full transcript of Brady’s appeal, Baltimore Ravens tipping off Indianapolis Colts

The NFLPA has released the 457 full transcript of his June 23 testimony on the deflated footballs scandal in a filing Tuesday in Manhattan. One of the most obvious matters in the document was the tipping off of the Baltimore Ravens to the Indianapolis Colts prior to the AFC championship game.

The Tom Brady “Deflategate” saga continues to be in the minds of the fans of the NFL as the season approaches. The NFL and the NFLPA couldn’t meet halfway to reach an agreement on a negotiated settlement of Brady’s appeal.

Commissioner Roger Goodell rejected Brady’s appeal and he didn’t reduce the four-game suspension. Because of the failed settlement, both parties went to court.

U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman wants the NFL and the NFLPA to settle the case. Berman ordered the two sides to appear in a settlement conference on Aug. 12 which Brady and Goodell are required to attend.

Berman wrote: “I request that you all engage in comprehensive, good-faith settlement discussions prior to the conference on August 12, 2015.”

However, the gap is too wide for the NFL and the NFLPA to settle the deflategate scandal. Rumors circulated last week that Goodell might have been willing to reduce the suspension by at least two games, as long as Brady apologize s and admits his role in deflating footballs used in the AFC Championship Game in January.

With the denial of Brady and the firmness of the NFL, it is impossible to bridge the two parties at this moment. When Goodell upheld the four-game suspension , Brady immediately responded through his Facebook account saying:

“The discipline was upheld without any counter offer. I respect the Commissioner[‘]s authority, but he also has to respect the CBA [collective bargaining agreement] and my rights as a private citizen. I will not allow my unfair discipline to become a precedent for other NFL players without a fight.”

As the clock ticks, will there be reached settlement?
