Venezuela suffered a 5-4 squeaker against Japan on Wednesday to force a do-or-die against Mexico. Venezuela was leading 2-1 in the sixth inning and was up 4-2 in the eighth inning. However, Venezuela was hit by a walk-off 5-4 defeat, forcing the team to play an extra game to play in the International Championship Game on Saturday. Venezuela produced 16 runs in its three games while Mexico accumulated 25 runs in its last two games after being limited to one run each in its first two games.

Meanwhile, the second game will be Texas and California, a rematch of Sunday afternoon game. Texas defeated California on Sunday but lost to Pennsylvania on Wednesday night. The winner will meet Pennsylvania on Saturday for the US Championship game.
