Jamaica shocked the United States Men’s National Team in a 2-1 semifinal win on Wednesday while Mexico controversially defeated Panama, 2-1, in extra time. This may not be a dream match for the Finals of Gold Cup 2015 but they are deserving to be here.

The Reggae Boyz survived an early attack from the Americans, then took control of the game in the the last 20 minutes of the first half and took a two-goal lead in just five minutes. They were dominated for most of the second half in possesions, but were able to contain the USMNT for a 2-1 upset victory.

El Tri probably shouldn’t be here, they were helped by controversial calls from the officials. They got a stoppage time penalty while down a goal against Panama and eventually converted it after a fight about the call. Mexico went on to win in extra time, and in the wake of the loss, Panama responded by calling CONCACAF corrupt thieves.

Though both teams want to end the Gold Cup with a title, only one team will end up winning. Surely, the Mexicans are aiming to have a higher Gold Cup destination but the Jamaicans are hoping for an illustrious victory. Probably, Jamaica expects for another upset.
