2015 British Open Round 3: Dustin Johnson leads, Jordan Spieth affected by bad weather

Delayed by rain, Round Two of the British Open Championship 2015 continues as American Jordan Spieth looks to topple the wet course in St Andrews. Spieth shot 5-under-par aftter Round 2. Justin Johnson leads at 10-under-par.

Spieth shocked the world when he dismantled the field in the Master Open and just recently when he won the US Open. The 23-year-old has a chance to match Ben Hogan’s feat of winning the Masters, the US Open and the British Open in the same year. Spieth tee time is at 12:48 PM ET.

Earlier in the day, Danny Willet hurdled the course with his 3-under-par performance that brought him to the top of the leaderboard a5 9-under-par. While half of the field hasn’t started yet, Willet might be the leader after Round 2.

Adam Scott finished his round by shooting 5-under-par, 7-under for the competition. Scott had a bogeyless round with five birdies. Scott is expected to be one of the contenters in this British Open. On the other hand, Geoff Ogilvy ended up at 5-under-par for the tournament, finishing 4-under par for the day.

Zach Johnson climbed into 7-under for the tournament when he shot 3-under-par for the day. Russell Henley has the best of Round 2 so far with his 6-under-par. Remarkably, Henly putted seven birdies with one bogey and the rest pars.

Though Phil Mickelson is expected to rise higher in the British Open leaderboard, he is just 1-under-par for the day through the 16th hole.
