Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez with first teams, Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow behind?

Sam Bradford is in the right track in terms of his recovery from injury, according to In a much contested position, especially for the Eagles, with four quarterbacks in chase for the starting quarterback, Bradford might have proven his worth as the potential starter.

Bradford has split first team reps with Mark Sanchez in 7-on-7 drills during the Philadelphia Eagles new round of OTA’s. Meanwhile, Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow were also part of the voluntary practice but were just behind the two quarterbacks.

Bradford practiced with ease in his first snaps into competitive drills since coming off from the Rams in via trade this season. Bradford didn’t play all of last season because of suffering a torn ACL in the preseason game. Bradford’s injury was the same ACL during 2013 season.

Five days ago, coach Chip Kelly provided a positive report on Bradford’s surgery progress.

“He is on schedule,” Kelly said last Thursday. “We all think there’s three phases: There’s medical rehab, there’s performance rehab and then there’s prepare to play. He’s probably right at the tail end of medical rehab. He’ll probably start throwing some 7-on-7 next week, but I think he’s right on schedule in terms of where he is.”

Clearly, Bradford is expected to be the starter for the Eagles but coach Kelly is not done yet in selecting the best quarterback for the upcoming 2015 season. In the Eagles OTA’s, Bradford has just taken on top against his rivals: Sanchez, Barkley and Tebow.
