Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers is set on Tuesday at 9:00 PM ET at the Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cleveland Cavaliers aim to stop the bleeding and to force a Game 7 as they are in a 3-2 disadvantage. The Cavaliers may have the “greatest athlete” in the world, but they are missing the support from other players. LeBron James, who claimed to be the best athlete in the world, may not only be the answer for the Cavs to extend the series. James averages 36.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and 8.8 assists in the NBA Finals, but those numbers were not making a difference if the Cavs failed to win the series. James is playing his best by taking what the defense is giving him. However, his lack of support is the biggest reason why they are behind in the series.

Without Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, the Cavs are expecting for Tristan Thompson, JR Smith and Matthew Dellavedova to play extensively well especially when needed. But the last two games in which the Cavs suffered defeats, James teammates were fading, most specifically in the fourth quarter. Truly, the Cavs do not have the depth to endure for 48 minutes. The Cavs played hard to keep pace with the Warriors until the last five minutes of Game 5. They were there but have fallen short.

Coach David Blatt has to make something unusual to deter the high-octane offense of the Warriors. He might be pulling out some surprises in Game 6 for the Cavs to survive. Blatt decided to go small and match the Warriors but it didn’t work. Will he go big this time with Timofey Mosgov staying longer?

Stephen Curry is a game away of completing one of the best performances in both the regular and postseasons. Winning a ring would be sweeter than getting the MVP for the point guard. Curry exploded for 37 points in Game 6 and he won the battle against the Australian Dellavedova.

When it comes to hard work, Andre Iguodala proves to be the most important player for the Warriors in the Finals. Aside from guarding LeBron James, Iguodala also is attacking the defense of the Cavaliers. He has shown poise in Game 4 and 5 when he connected those important baskets. Iguodala is the silent worker for the Warriors that numbers couldn’t measure his worth.

Coach Steve Kerr has gone to the depths of his roster, providing more playing time for David Lee. Truly, Kerr is pulling the right strings at the right time in the previous two games. To stay with the current small ball strategy would be a wise decision for Kerr. Until the Cavs find the way to beat the Warriors, Kerr will not alter his strategies.
