LA Clippers vs Houston Rockets Scores and Results: TV Schedule, NBA Playoffs 2015, Preview

The Houston Rockets take on the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 4 of the semifinal round of the Western Conference on Sunday at 8:30 PM ET at the Staples Center.

The Houston Rockets seek to tie the series after losing Game 3, 124-99, on Friday. The Rockets couldn’t stop the high-powered offense of the Clippers centered on Chris Paul, who played after missing the first two games of the series. James Harden had 25 points and 11 assists in Game 3 but he lacked help from his teammates.

On the season, the Rockets are averaging 103.9 points, 43.7 rebounds and 22.2 assists. Defensively, the Rockets are yielding 100.5 points against the opposing teams.

James Harden averages 27.4 points and 8.6 assists to lead in both categories for Houston in the playoffs. Dwight Howard averages 13.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.3 blocks. Josh Smith and Corey Brewer are contributing 13.9 points and 12.5 respectively for the Rockets.

“We just let go of the rope and they piled on us,” coach Kevin McHale said. “We got rattled in that third quarter. Our team defense went to hell.”

Coach Doc Rivers was so happy about the performance of his son Austin Rivers, who scored 25 points in a 10 of 13 shooting from the field. Austin Rivers played well to limit the playing time of Chris Paul, who needed to be rested.

“Austin was unbelievable,” said Paul, who had 12 points and a team-high seven assists in his first game since hitting the winning bucket in Game 7 against San Antonio last weekend. “I was probably his biggest cheerleader in the third quarter. I just kept saying, ‘I don’t want to play anymore if I don’t have to.'”

On the season, the Clippers are averaging 106.7 points, 42.6 rebounds and 24.8 assists. Defensively, the Clippers are yielding 100.1 points against the opposing teams.

On the postseason, Blake griffin averages 25.1 points, 13.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists. Meanwhile, Paul averages 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.8 assists. DeAndre Jordan contributes 12.0 points, 13.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game for the Clippers.
