The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Chicago Bulls in Game One of the Eastern Conference semifinals at 7:00 PM ET at the Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio.

After sweeping the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, the Cavaliers have to face a stronger and bigger opponent, the Bulls, in tonight’s basketball game without power forward Kevin Love, who was ruled out throughout the playoffs.

For the Cavaliers, the biggest adjustment would be on how the spacing in the offense will play out without Love, who used to stay outside to take out the shot blocker of the opposing teams. Remember, Love has the accuracy in making three-pointers. Will the Cavaliers be able to solve that? Will they have enough depth to find ways to carry the offense outside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving?

On the season, the Cavaliers are averaging 103.1 points, 43.0 rebounds and 22.1 assists. Defensively, the Cavaliers are yielding 98.7 points against the opposing teams.

In the four games the Cavs played in the playoffs, James averages 27.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.3 steals. James completely dominated the defense of the Celtics in the first round. Meanwhile, Irving played great also with 23.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

What the Cleveland Cavaliers will miss are the 14.3 points of Love, including his defense, and J.R. Smith’s 9.8 points. Smith was suspended for this game because of a flagrant foul he incurred in the previous game.

The Chicago Bulls will come into the building with the opportunity to take Game One. The Bulls succumbed the Bucks in Game 4 with a shocking 120-6 win. With that kind of defense, the Bulls would be able to contain James and Irving.

As the team is completely healthy with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, the Bulls road to the Eastern Conference Finals start today in a must win. Rose can extremely utilize his skills in going into the basket, knowing that the Cavs are short-handed.

On the season, the Bulls are averaging 100.8 points, 45.7 rebounds and 21.7 assists. Defensively, the Bulls are yielding 97.8 points against the opposing teams.

Jimmy Butler leads the Bulls in scoring and steals with 24.8 points and 2.5 steals per game in the playoffs. Pau Gasol contributes with 11.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game to lead in both categories. Meawhile, Derick Rose leads in assists with 6.5 per game. Butler, Rose, Gasol, and Mike Dunleavy are averaging double figures in points against the Bucks.
