Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavaliers Final Scores, Recap Game 5: LeBron James scores 38 to lead the Cavs

LeBron James had 38 points, 12 rebounds and six assists to lead the Cavaliers in a 101-106 win over the Bulls on Tuesday’s Eastern Conference Round 2 Game 5.

LeBron James scored 24 points help the Cavaliers built a 54-44 halftime lead over the Chicago Bulls in the first half of Game 5 Eastern Conference semifinal round.

The Chicago Bulls started strong but the Cavaliers went on to a 17-6 spurt, including a back-to-back three pointers from Iman Shumpert and Kyrie Irving to seize the lead 25-24.


The Chicago Bulls take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of their best-of-seven semifinal round series in the Eastern Conference NBA Playoffs on Tuesday, Start Time at 7:00 PM ET at the Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio.

In the last two games, two buzzer-beaters were witnessed. One from Chicago’s Derrick Rose in Game 3 and the other was from Cleveland’s LeBron James in Game 4. It is the most exciting series so far that is filled with action and drama.

James had 25 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists in Game 4 that put the Cavaliers in tying the series into 2-2. Center Timofey Mozgov exploded for 15 points and nine rebounds.

On the season, the Cavaliers are averaging 103.1 points, 43.0 rebounds and 22.1 assists. Defensively, the Cavaliers are yielding 98.7 points against the opposing teams.

On the postseason, James averages 26.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.0 steals to lead the Cavs in all of those categories. Mosgov leads in blocks with 2.5 per game. Kyrie Irving averages 20.9 points and 3.5 assists.

The Bulls know how to win on the road. They have the defense that could contain James and the Cavaliers. Rose had 31 points and four assists to lead the Bulls in Game 4. Jimmy Butler added 19 points and five rebounds. However, Pau Gasool didn’t play and his presence would alter the course of the game. Gasol’s status for Game 5 is a game-time decision.

On the season, the Bulls are averaging 100.8 points, 45.7 rebounds and 21.7 assists. Defensively, the Bulls are yielding 97.8 points against the opposing teams.

On the postseason, Butler averages 22.2 points and 2.8 steals to lead in both categories. Rose averages 21.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists. Pau Gasol averages 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds.
