Who is Jordan Spieth? Masters First Round leaderboard

Jordan Spieth currently tops the first round leaderboard of the Masters by scoring 8-under par 64. He putted with accuracy by drilling in nine birdies while struggling in the 15th hole, ending up in a bogey.

Spieth ranks fourth in the Official Golf Ranking according to PGATour.com. He also ranks second in the FEDEXCUP Ranking. Spieth became the third younges player in the PGA Tour history to win Multiple Tour events at the Valspar Championshing on March. In 2013, Spieth captured the John Deere Classic as his first PGA Tour win.

Spieth was born in Dallas, Texas on July 27, 1993. He captured the US Junior Amateur in 2009 and 2011, as he joined with Tiger Woods as its only multiple winners.

With his success in 2011, Spieth entered professional in December 2012 at the age of 19. While many wonder who is John Spieth, his resume speaks that he can pull off a win in this Masters Tournament.

There are four players currently tied for the second place at 5-under par; Charley Hoffman, Justin Rose, Ernie Els and Jason Day, who is in his 17th hole.

Sergio Garcia lurks behind at 4-under par while Phil Mickelson at 2-under par. Rory McIlroy finished the first round hitting 1-under par. Tiger Woods is 1-under par through the 17th hole.

Russel Henley finished the first round at 4-under while Bill Haas at 3-under par.
