Rain or Shine rallies to beat Ginebra

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters stunned the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel to a 82-79 came from behind victory in the 2015 PBA Commissioners Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Wayne Chism led all scorers with 28 points and also grabbed 17 rebounds. Chism scored six of the last 11 points of the Elasto Painters including a crucial put back with 52 seconds remaining to put Rain or Shine ahead with 52 seconds remaining. The Elasto Painters import made his free throws with 8.6 left on the clock.

Paul Lee had a double-double performance with 18 points and 11 boards while Beau Belga added 11 points off the benched to help the Elasto Painters earned its sixth win in the conference.

Ginebra started hot from the field early to piled up a nine point led ending the 1st period, 24-15. The Gin Kings continued its offense in the second quarter led by Mike Dunigan to put Ginebra by 10 points, 48-38, before entering the third quarter.

Chism,Lee and Belga turn it around for the Elasto Painters in the second half with a 18-7 run. The Rain or Shine took the led 65-63 at the end of the third period.

The game was heated up in the final period as water bottle was thrown out in the court after Belga and Mark Caguiao tangled out. Caguiao scored eight points all in the fourth quarter including a floater with 4:21 left on the clock to put Ginebra with an eight point cushion 79-71 but it was the last score of the Gin Kings. The Elasto Painters made an 11-0 run to clinch the victory.

Dunigan spearheaded Ginebra San Miguel with 24 points and Greg Slaughter added 10 points in a losing effort.
