New York Knicks vs Miami Heat: TV Schedule, Preview, Scores and results

The New York Knicks take on the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena Monday at 7:30 PM ET. While the Knicks are out of the playoff, the Heat are fighting for a position.

Losing five of the last six games is not the way coach Erik Spoelstra has envisioned for the season of Miami (21-29). Offensively, Miami averages 92.4 points on 45.5 percent shooting. Christ Bosh leads the way in scoring with 21 points average and Luol Dengs comes second with his 14.3 points average. Defensively, Miami yields 96.3 points on 45.6 percent shooting.

Dwayne Wade is expected not to play due to a strained right hamstring. He is listed as questionable.

“I’m not even thinking about (Monday), I’m not even thinking about Wednesday in Cleveland but he’s out here with his teammates working and leading,” coach Spoelstra said.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks (10-41) are waiting for the season to be over to have a new roster and probably to play better. Offensively, New York averages 92.7 points on 43.8 percent shooting. Carmelo Anthony averages 24.1 points and Amar’e Stoudemire averages 12.1 points. Defensively, New York yields 100.3 points on 46 percent shooting.

“We obviously showed again that we have it,” coach Derek Fisher said. “It’s a matter of being able to, over the course of 48 minutes, get more minutes in the game with that type of approach to playing the game.”
