The Marquette Golden Eagles face the Villanova Wildcats in tonight’s college basketball at the Villanova Pavillion at 7:00 PM ET.

“In the first half they took advantage of everything we tried to do defensively. In the second half, we didn’t change anything, we just did a better job,” coach Jay Wright said. “We got a good feel for what they were doing to us.”

The struggling Marquette (10-11, 2-7) will have a lot of works to create an upset against Villanova. Offensively, Marquette averages 68.1 points on 44.8 percent shooting. With Matt Carlino as the leading scorer with an average of 14.8 points per game, Marquette has a chance. Also, Duane Wilson averages 12 points and Luke Fischer’s 10.3 points per game. Defensively, Marquette yields 66.1 points per game on 42.8 percent shooting.
