Clippers vs Cavaliers: TV Schedule, Scores, Preview and Results

Riding in an 11-game winning streak, the Cleveland Cavaliers look to keep the momentum as they face the surging Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday at the Quickens Loans Arena, at 8:00 PM ET.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have found their ways to contribute for the Cavaliers while Kevin Love continues to look his place in the team.

Love struggled in Monday’s 97-84 victory over Philadelphia by shooting only 1-of-7 from the field in the first quarter. The problem with Love was that he never tried to attempt a shot the rest of the game, finishing only five points.

”I think for Kev, his confidence maybe shooting the ball is a little down,” James said. ”I want him to shoot the ball and he needs to shoot it with confidence.”

Love was the star in Minnesota as he averaged 26.1 points in his final season. He is currently averaging 16.9 points for the Cavaliers. If the Cavs have to be the contender in the East, Love has to take more shots to compliment James and Irving. James had 18 points and 11 assists while Irving added 24 points against Philadelphia.

Offensively, the Cavaliers average 101.7 points on 45.3 percent shooting. James averages 26.2 points and 7.4 assists while Irving averages 21.9 points and 5.2 assists. Defensively, Cleveland yields 99.1 points on 46 percent shooting.

In Jan. 16 game against the Clippers, Irving exploded with 37 points while James added 32 points and 11 rebounds.

The Los Angeles Clippers have the firepower to match the Cavaliers. With Blake Griffin and Chris Paul at the center of the offense, the Clippers can win on the road.

Griffin scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 102-100 loss to Brooklyn last Monday. Chris Paul had 20 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while DeAndre Jordan had 22 points and 20 rebounds.

Offensively, the Clippers average 107.6 points on 47.3 shooting. Griffin averages 22.6 points and Paul’s 17.7 points. DeAndre Jordan averages 13.6 rebounds. The Clippers split their previous four games.
