Serena Williams seeks to capture another Australian Open title as she faces Maria Sharapova in the Finals, January 31, at 12:00 AM ET.

Serena displayed such dominance in the quarterfinals by beating Dominaka Cibulkova 6-2, 6-2. While Serena had a tough first set over Madison Keys in the Semifinals, she ended up with 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.

Williams seeks for her sixth Australian Open title, winning the last time in 2010. Willams matches well against Sharapova in strength and flexibility. Her power volleys would be indefensible in the face of the Russian.

Sharapova reached the stardom by she defeated Williams in Wimbledon Open in 2004, 6-1, 6-4. Sharapova met Williams in 2007 Australian Open and 2013 French Open, but it all went to the American.

The Russian outpowered all her opponents in this tournament i two sets, except against Alexandra Panova that last in three sets 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.

Sharapova overpowered Petra Martic 6-4, 6-1 in the first round and Zarina Diyas 6-1, 6-1 in the second round. She continued her success in derailing Peng Shuai 6-3, 6-0 in the fourth and Eugenie Bouchard 6-3, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. To enter into the Finals, Sharapova edged Ekaterina Makarova 6-3, 6-2.
