Arkansas vs Tennessee basketball: TV Schedule, Point Spread, Odds, Preview, Scores and Results

The Arkansas Razorbacks take on the Tennessee Volunteers in one of the NCAA basketball games today at 7:00 PM ET.

The Razorbacks seek to have a 3-0 start in the SEC games for the first time in 17 years. Coming off from a 82-70 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Razorbacks are sharp as ever in facing the Volunteers. Arkansas (13-2,2-0) allowed Vanderbilt to shoot 52 percent Saturday but they forced 20 turnovers to make up 31 points.

Moreover, the high-pressure defense of coach Mike Anderson is one of the reasons why Arkansas is reaping such success.

“Everybody can’t play against that pressure for 40 minutes,” Arkansas junior guard Michael Qualls said. “… They can’t play all those minutes the way we play. It’s just impossible.”

The Tennessee Volunteers (9-5,1-1) split the first two games against SEC opponents. On Wednesday, Tennessee defeated Mississippi State 61-47 but lost to Alabama 56-38 on Saturday.

For the Volunteers, Josh Richardson will be the key in beating the defense of Arkansas. Richardson currently scores 25.3 percent of his team’s points against SEC teams. Thus, Richardson needs to step bigger against the pressure defense.

“If you feel sorry for yourself or hang your head in this business people will bury you. They will put you out of business,” Tennessee coach Donnie Tyndall said.

This is a basketball game in which the offense of the Volunteers will be tested against the defense of the Razorbacks.
